How Your Embossed Wallpaper is Made
Our talented makers print and cut every piece of wallpaper to hand onsite in our London factory, giving your designs the care and attention they deserve. Your textured wallpaper printing is made by printing your designs onto our special bio-proof formulated paper, using environmentally friendly and solvent-free printing inks. A superior printing method means your textured wallpapers will have a lasting, richly coloured print and be fade-resistant – even over time. The bio-proof formula makes it perfect for bathrooms or rooms where it may be exposed to moisture, as it resists bacteria, mould and mildew. Your new embossed wallpaper, UK handmade to order, couldn’t be easier to apply; simply paste the walls directly, and place each sheet as desired. Removing the paper is just as simple, and won’t leave walls damaged.
We also offer three other custom wallpaper options; standard, self-adhesive and premium. Please note that there may be some ink bleed on wallpapers with a textured finish.
Standard
The standard wallpaper has a thick quality with a lightly textured matte finish and displays your designs using eco-friendly inks and paper. This option is also strong and durable and comes with a 10-year guarantee. If applying this wallpaper over a dark wall, we recommend that you give the wall a coat of white paint prior to hanging the paper, so that your designs pop.
How to apply:
Paste the back of your paper with wallpaper paste, before applying to clean walls.
Premium
If you want a 100% opaque option, the premium wallpaper is perfect. This beautifully printed, matte finish paper is water activated and incredibly easy to apply and remove, without the need for wallpaper paste. This option is also created using eco-friendly printing inks and practices, like all of our wallpapers. Adorn your walls in vibrant colours and prints with sharp detail and incredibly high quality.
How to apply:
Simply spray your wall with water and position the paper as necessary, with no need for paste.
Self-Adhesive
Matte with a textured finish, this option can be mounted to any surface and is also created using eco-friendly printing inks and methods. Designed with a unique coating which is quick drying and features water resistance. Retains adhesion and leaves no residue.
How to apply:
Peel and stick application, can be repositioned countless times, no need for paste or water.
Care Instructions
Your new raised wallpaper is durable and resistant to scratches, however if you’d like to clean the paper you can wipe it clean with a damp, soapy sponge.
Design Tips
Use your new textured embossed wallpaper to share your designs in your home, or with your fans. The textured surface is perfect for emphasising paint brush texture in photos of paintings or looks beautiful with landscape photography. We recommend measuring the area for your design beforehand and adding 8 cm onto the size. This allows you a 4 cm bleed on the height and width for trimming the paper or for any allowances, meaning you can get your wallpaper to fit perfectly. Then choose the length and width that you would like to print.
As well as your bleed area, we recommend aiming to allow 2.5% shrinkage for your wallpaper. Our printing process uses heat which can lead to shrinkage when printing fabrics and wallpapers.
Next, choose one of the roll width options. Wallpapers are printed over several pieces or 'drops' so you can choose either 125 cm or 62.5 cm as the width. This is the width of each piece of wallpaper.
Follow this up by choosing the 'wallpaper direction', which is the direction in which the 'drops' will be cut. This will need to be decided in such a way that you do not lose any important part of your design, such as faces or bits of text. The online preview will show the cutting lines to guide you. Lastly, upload your design to our online design system and experiment with the positioning of your image. If a low-quality warning appears, you may need to scale the image down, but can use a repeat tile effect or simply add other images. Our technicians will trim down any white spaces at the edge of the canvas around the bleed, so there are no borders visible.
