About Your Printed Shopping Bags
Create your own printed shopping bags for a stylish way to stash your everyday essentials, and even your shopping. The long leather handles are the perfect length to carry your bag on your shoulder, in your hand or in the crook of your arm. Your new custom shopping bags are made from gorgeously glossy patent vinyl. When you upload your design, it will be printed onto a soft canvas fabric. This material is not only strong and durable, but it prints like a dream. Fine lines and details show up wonderfully and colours are vibrant and clear. This sturdy bag will support heavy items, making it the ideal shopping partner. Your bag is lined with black waterproof fabric, which is ideal in case of any accidental spillages, and the internal pockets will keep valuables such as keys or phones safe and secure.

How Printing Custom Shopping Bags Works
Your printed tote is expertly made to order by a team of technicians and seamstresses. When you upload your design, these technicians print the artwork onto the soft and durable canvas fabric. We fuse the ink deep into the fibres, which creates a stunning, permanent print. This is then sewn together with patent vinyl to create the body of your new bag. The leather handles are supple yet robust and they are sewn in between the vinyl and the canvas. This reinforces the strength of the handles, and means that there are no eyelet holes interrupting your design. Your artwork is printed onto one side of the bag, however there is the option of printing on both sides, if you wish.
The Nappa leather is sourced via Italian tanneries for printing and finishing in our own in-house atelier studio. This work is by hand and to order. As a full grain, bovine-calf leather, it is graded to the highest level for print and manufacturing quality.
Design Tips
The printing area on the printed shopping bags is a large square, so we recommend uploading a design that would complement this shape. Consider the colour of the vinyl that you want use. Glossy black will work beautifully with bold patterns and monochromatic designs. For something altogether more delicate and feminine, the soft pink or powder blue are ideal. If you are looking to print a neutral design or are using a more natural colour palette, then the ivory beige colour will be the best canvas.
You have the choice to print your designs on both sides. We recommend this option if you are looking to create a statement bag or a customised bag for a customer. Print your artwork on one side and their name on the other. The perfect tote. Black trim bags come with a black leather handle, and the other 3 colour options comes with a natural tan handle. The colour of the trim should play a part in the final overall look of your bag.

What's the best resolution to print in?
We print at 200dpi, which is a good combination of quality and file weight. Ideally, your image should be scaled to 100% at 200dpi, this means that no resizing of your file occurs stopping any interpolation.
Should I save my file as a TIFF or JPEG?
For multi-coloured or very detailed files we recommend using a tiff format, but they must be flattened. For simple colours and low detail files, a jpeg is fine.
Which colour model should I choose? RGB or CMYK?
We advise providing images in the RGB colour space. Specifically using the sRGB image profile, to achieve best colour results.What does this mean? In your editing software choose RGB as the working space, and assign the image profile as sRGB (full name sRGB IEC61966-2.1)
What does GSM mean?
Grams per Square Meter (GSM) is an international standard for measuring the weight of paper or fabric. GSM uses the weight of a square meter (1000 x 1000mm) as an indication of the weight and thickness of a given fabric. We class 20-100gsm as light (summer fabrics, gauzes and fine silks), 101-249 gsm as medium (most clothing fabrics) and 250+ gsm as heavy (upholstery fabrics, and other specialist fabrics).
What are bleed areas?
When designing your product, it’s best to make sure that your image is slightly larger than needed. In printing, the extra printed image is referred to as a “Bleed Area” or margin, and it is removed from the finished piece. A bleed area acts as a buffer for slight inconsistencies in the manufacturing process. however, it’s important to fill your bleed areas completely, or you may end up with white, unprinted strips along the edge of your finished product.
Do you print on garments a customer supplies?
Unfortunately not. All our garments are printed on flat fabric and sewn into finished products, which gives a better-finished result and all-over print. We test meticulously so that we know what gets the best results on our fabrics, and our facilities cater perfectly to them. We do however print sublimation paper to order, so if you have access to a heat press you can press your fabrics or flat garments easily.
Can you Align a Pattern or design across panels of a garment?
We always strive for the greatest accuracy when printing and constructing your garments. However, due to unavoidable stretch or movement of the fabric during the stitching process, we cannot guarantee perfect pattern registration across garment seams. We are generally accurate within 2-3mm, which is close enough for most patterns but may show slight issues with detailed geometric patterns.
Can I print my own Labels?
Most of our garments now come with printable label space for you to add your own company information and branding! If you would like to sew in your own labels, we also offer Printed Fabric Labels here.
How is your fabric printing eco-friendly?
With environmental consciousness in mind, our fabrics are all printed using completely water-based inks. This means no chemicals or solvents are used. Our heat fixing procedure fixes the colours and prints, avoiding the downsides of steaming, such as excess or contaminated water returning into the waste system. We have one facility where we conduct all the printing, production and fulfilment.

Can I design the whole bag?
You can create a design for the entire front of your bag. You also have the option to choose from 4 trim colours; black, pink, blue and beige. For a small additional charge, you can design the back of the bag too.
What is the interior of the bag like?
The interior is made from a waterproof lining. This is perfect in case of any accidental spills. There are also interior pockets. The roomy interior measures 35cm wide with a 12cm gusset.
What is the bag made from?
Your new shopper is made from beautifully glossy patent vinyl. It is contemporary and stylish with a gorgeous shine. The handles are made from natural leather.
